The new year is well underway and it is now a good time to renew your FPA membership. If you were a paid up member last year, your membership will be expiring on January 31.
If you skipped a year or have never been an FPA member before, we hope you will consider becoming one this year.
There are many good reasons to become a current, paid-up member of the FPA:
you’ll have a chance to vote in FPA surveys and elections and have a real influence on the sport
you’ll get to compete at FPA sponsored tournaments (like FPA Worlds in Medellín, Colombia at the end of August)
you’ll be entitled to significant discounts on freestyle discs and other merchandise, including rare collector discs at Wrightlife.com (US) and Ultimo.cz (Europe)
you’ll get your permanent FPA number
you’ll support activities to spread the jam to new places across the globe!
you’ll also become eligible to apply for an FPA grant to support your own spread the jam activities
lastly but importantly, you will give more meaning to the work of many volunteers (members of the FPA board and specialized working groups) who are putting much effort, publicly or behind the scenes, into bettering the sport of freestyle disc
One more reason to join now!
If you join the FPA before the end of February 2023, part of your membership fee* will be used towards the New Year, New Champion fundraiser which will allow an upcoming player to travel and compete at the FPA World Championships.
This applies also to all our auto-renewing members using the PayPal subscription payments. If you are one of them, no action is required from your side.
* 25 % of the Regular fee, 50 % of the Platinum fee
Good to know:
The FPA membership is FREE for the first year (and also for juniors until they turn 18)
your 2023 membership will be valid till January 31, 2024

As we usher in a new chapter for the FPA, it is with immense gratitude and excitement that we extend our heartfelt thanks to Thomas Nötzel and Jens Velasquez for their service as Competition Director and Education Director, respectively. Their unwavering dedication and passion have played a pivotal role in shaping the freestyle frisbee community, and we are very grateful for their contributions.
Thomas Nötzel, as Competition Director, has tirelessly worked as TD and helped the judging panel during the biggest competitions work smoothly.
Jens Velasquez, as Education Director, has been a driving force with workshops in the US that have enriched our community and demos that expanded our audience.
As we look forward to seeing Thomas and Jens during our meetings and competitions as members of our community, we warmly welcome two new members to the FPA Board – Tymek Wrotek and Toby Künzel!
Tymek brings a young and fresh perspective, while Toby’s passion for teaching freestyle frisbee; this makes them valuable additions to our team. We are excited to work with Tymek and Toby as they take on the roles of Competition Director and Education Director, respectively.
Please reach out to them via email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org in case you are interested in being part of the working team, or if you have any feedback about the department.
Dear Jammers, here’s a message from the organizers of FPAW 24:
” Due to questions from players and guests we would like to clarify most important information about FPA Worlds 2024 in Warsaw.
Date of the event is fixed and confirmed 100%. The event will take place from 14th (Wednesday) to 18th (Sunday) August 2024. From Wednesday morning to Saturday evening we will have a tournament – with all finals played on Saturday. On Sunday we plan “free jams” day and big frisbee event together. You can book your flights to Warsaw and plan your holiday calendar already. When planning your holiday in Poland remember about SandSlash – our annual big beach ultimate and freestyle frisbee festival – just few days after – from 22nd to 25th August 2024 in Debki, by the Polish coast. If we will have a bigger group of participants going to SandSlash we could organize a group bus for freestylers. Sounds awesome right?
The place of the event is not fully confirmed (yet). We are working hard to get additional funding and sponsors to rent this particular place. Also, we are planning to rent a gym nearby, so in case of bad weather conditions, everything will be as close as possible. The planned main spot is very close to the city center. We hope to confirm the location as soon as possible.
WEBSITE AND MORE INFORMATION ABOUT EVENT
Very soon (in the next weeks) we plan to launch our event website for players and guests with all the details you need to know about Warsaw and the whole event – like accommodation area suggestions, travel advice, schedule, competition and registration. We advise you to wait to book your accommodation until we launch the website. We hope to see you in Warsaw!!
