It’s a testament to the golden age of Women’s Freestyle that Connie Bond is not more widely recognized for her skills. Connie started jamming in her native Illinois before coming out to attend UC Santa Barbara for school. It was there that she immersed herself into the Palm Park jam scene. Her natural partner was the illustrious Kate Dow. And together they made an immediate impact, winning the 1981 Rose Bowl title before ticking off more big wins with the ’82 FPA Women’s World Title as well as the ’82 Santa Cruz World Disc title.
