The competition will take place on the spring floor. The spring floor is 12 meter by 12 meter square. The surface is carpet on top of plywood on top of a bed of springs. It feels about as firm as a soft artificial turf field.
Registration, accommodation information coming soon.

Join me in congratulating the following folks who have been selected to Spread the Jam at the Africa Beach Games!
Mehrdad Hosseinian, Daniel O’Neill, Benedicte Audet, Ayal Benin, Andrea Festi and Michal Maciolek
All have strong credentials Spreading the Jam and are certain to bring more women and youth to the sport, now in Africa! Representing 6 different countries is an added bonus and says a lot about the sport’s reach as we try to extend that!
Understand this is just the beginning and it is anticipated there will be many more opportunities going forward as the FPA and WFDF work together to grow freestyle worldwide.
Thanks especially to all those who volunteered that were not selected, again understanding more is to come!
African Beach Games
Fellow jammers, here is some exciting and urgent news! WFDF has asked the FPA to help recruit new freestylers in Africa. They have identified the African Beach Games in Cape Verde https://www.sal2019.com/ June 14 – 23 as a good place to spread the jam! To help with the trip expenses, WFDF will provide $750 US Dollars for each of six jammers. The $750 US Dollars may not cover the whole cost but it should go a long way, especially for Europeans…and this IS on the beach!! We are awaiting information on how WFDF will proceed with timing, booking flights and lodging. First we need to we determine who will attend.
We need to identify 4 more volunteers to accompany Daniel O’Neill and Graf Mordi. Daniel and Graf were selected by WFDF in consultation with the FPA Board when it was thought only 2 could go – and they have agreed. We are still working to get details, but it is believed that the visit would be for a few days, not necessarily for the whole duration of the event (but could be!).
We are looking for folks with some experience spreading the jam, and it would be great to get men and women! The FPA is also looking for help in putting together “Jam Kits” of discs, slick, glue and nails for the event. It is imperative for us to find jammers who will sustain the activity and grow the sport in Africa. This is a great opportunity for us to start that process.
The sooner we know who the other 4 jammers are, the better for everyone. If you are interested, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
After careful consideration, the Seattle crew has decided to change the venue for FPA Worlds in Seattle. The tournament will be held at Mitchell Activity Center.
This decision has been made for a few reasons. The first is the Mitchell Activity Center provides significantly more playable space. This is to ensure there is enough warm up and jam space. Second, the location is much more central. Downtown Seattle is within walking distance. Also, the Capitol Hill Light Rail station nearby provides a direct line to SeaTac Airport. Third, the possibility of attracting spectators is much higher. The location is located next to a popular park. Lastly, there are many more party site options and eateries within walking distance to the tournament site.
We know this will cause plans to change. If you are having trouble adjusting, please email us at:
