  Thanks to Peter Laubert for a great players package, decent prize money, and cool trophies provided by the FPA. Blair Paulsen and Donny Wallace also helped in a big way to pull this event off.

Some new faces appeared for a west coast tourney including Paul Klimek from Santa Cruz, Dr. Bob Morrisey from Arizona and Brian Traichel, previously of Connecticut.

El Niņo canceled Saturday's prelim rounds due to 50 mph winds, rain, and hail.

A small break in the weather on Sunday allowed us to get in one final round for each division. There were no cuts, so we did not have the full complement of judges. Some teams had great conditions, other teams like Dave Zeff/Chip Bell/Rick Castiglia had to play in windy and rainy conditions, with most spectators watching the routines with adverse conditions from inside the adjacent bar and sponsor, appropriately named 'Canes (as in Hurricanes).
